On my CD, this is a ten-minute piece, which grew out of a multitude of ideas. This is the last two and a half minutes of that piece. |

This piece grew out of an improvisation I've played with for over a decade. It finally settled down into a set piece. It's mission is to inspire you to drift, and to a dream. |

This piece is played deliberately slow, with some surprises. Frequently, I hear it played too fast, and too much like a metronome (or a clock). I desired to create a performance that was distinctive, expressive, and true to the "soothing" concept behind this CD. |

This title was given by Beethoven. I find this beautiful middle movement to have the ideal consistency and mood for this CD. |
