This was recorded with a similar stereo mic setup as the classical guitar sample consisting of two MXL-603 small diaphragm mics positioned about 1 ft apart and about 2 ft above the drum facing down toward it in a V shape not directly pointing at the drum.If you use headphones it really sounds like you're in the same room. |

This recording is a sample from a recent recording session I did with a local band where we used the MXL-603S mics as a pair of stereo overheads. The result I think was a very accurate and smooth overhead mic sound. |

This is a sample recording done using a single Behringer ECM-8000 reference mic. The recording was made stereo by digitally doubling the track and adding a very small delay in order to add width to the sound. |
