Verry hard and agressive. Generally based on hard beats and effects.

Review on "Flying Retards" by Elementa/Written by b0rN^sL|p.
I'll try to comment on 4 perspectives of a song, that being Originality, Creativity, Quality and Danceabillity.
Originality: 8/10
I can't really say I have alot to complain about on this area of the song, although it follows some of the standard goa'ish basslines and synth riffs.
The tune is original in the sounds used, and how the sounds are used...I have a feeling that using effects and filters had a big role in putting this tune togheter.
Effects and filters are good boys & girls, remember to use them visely, learn from the allmighty Elementa!
I must say this though, the hi-hats kinda impressed me, sounds like a nice variety of samples and effects used!
I'm not gonna comment on every sample and effect, but whatever it is, it sounds good!
Creativity: 9/10
Sounds like Elementa has been twisting his mind inside out for this one :oP
It's not repetive, like alot of electronic music tends to be...this one will keep you going without getting bored for a long time...
(Right now i'm listening to it for like the 7-8'th time in a row =o])
The beat keeps the song alive, and the riffs sounds really nice!
Alot of variety in synth sounds and riffs pluss some really nice changes in the song that tingles your mind and makes it want more :o)
Quality: 9/10
This is nice, I haven't noticed any samples or sounds getting drowned anywhere, and everything is mostly clear as crystal.
Some clipping sounds do occour, but Elementa blaims it on the mp3 decoding... =]
I don't really have alot to write about this area, as it is close to perfect!
Danceabillity: 8/10
Ahh...close your eyes and imagine yourself in the land of lightsticks and strobes!
This could be a good club hit at any underground clubs, or at any boys room!
This could impress your best friend, your worst enemy or even the most fucked up DJ.
It's not commercial at all, but the pumping beat and bass makes it a nice "Body mover" as long as you're not using 2 of the worst multimedia speakers out there with like -40 in bass feedback.
Conclusion: 9/10
This is the shit right here!
b00m b00m b00m b00m uNF uNF uNF tsk tsk wah wah wah b00m b00m b00m tsk!
Sorry about that, hehe...
The only reason I don't give it 10/10 is that I miss some takeoffs and stuff like that, just to make it a seriously top 100 best of the best thing.
But hey, there's nothing a little remix can't fix now is there? Hehe :oP |
