More ballad-esque. Inspired by arrangements written by modern sax players. The song title came from a conversation between Gary Burton and some other guy wherein Gary said "hmmm...it escapes me" |

Chroma Key has had a profound influence over my compositions in the past two years. This tune shows that impact more than others. Weird ambient, fusion groove over a D pedal on the bass. |

This one is also in the vein of Frank Gambale and GHS 3 (probably more than the other tune). The title comes from one of my instructor's pictures on the inside of his album. The photographer made the group wear black so they looked "tougher." ...come on, the guy wears pink shorts. |

This one is more in the style of Bill Frisell's recent trio album. Only the improvisation is limited to guitar, which also takes the role of the bass here over mellow percussion. |
