This is a lightweigut happy song and oddly enough that was the way it was intended to be. I set out to write a song with an infectious chorus, and I think this has. However the test of a song lioke this is for it to reach a large enough audience so that it's infectiosness can reach critical mass. |

This song started life as a poem performed in the style of a "Stanley Holloway" (and no one knows who he is) monolgue. Written to amuse the kids, However it metamorphed into something a bit more serious when I heard the news that some middle class woman somewhere had actually reversed over her own child in her four wheel drive. Though a tragedy for this poor individual it seemed to me to pass some kind poetic judgement on the four wheel drive mentallity. |
