Sweden is the third largest country in exporting music, next to the UK and USA. Even during the ABBA-craze, swedish musicexport was scarce. With Punk, in the late 70's, began a shift of things. With punknetworking, young swedes began gathering competence both in internationally orientated songwriting and in marketing of music.

Leather Nun, a heavy hardrocking combo from Gothenburgh, spearheaded the swedish wave. They were the first swedish band/artist to make it internationally due to independent networking. Massive clubtouring in Europe and the US, heavy media exposure and astonishing music/gigs, landed a strong international reputation.

In the early/mid 80's, Leather Nun was supported on tours/gigs by later name-acts like The Cult, The Mission, Zodiac Mindwarp, Fields of Nephilism and others.
