These aren't bootlegs. I'm a freelance music journalist from the San Francisco Bay Area. These are audio recordings I made of band and artist interviews I've condusted. These were never really intended for broadcast. Just accurate notetaking and a way for me to worry about the flow of the interview, rather than capturing the best quotes. Currently, I'm writing for Zero Magazine. You'll notice three things by listening: 1. I am a dork. I'm no Kronkite. I get these interviews because I'm a decent writer, but I'm quite the awkward idiot in person. I'm not cool. 2. The audio quality sucks. I make these recordings to make my job easier and insure my accuracy. I don't have a fast hand, so hand writing my notes would cause me to miss the good shit. Maybe if I masterbated more frequently... I use a simple mini tape recorder. The phone interviews sound even worse, but what can you do? 3. The photos are rough. Especially when I take them myself. I'm a writer, not a photojournalist, and I've had bad luck with it. Example, the Bloodhound show. There was a fiasco at the door and my photographer Marcial couldn't get in. He gave me his camera - an old ass piece of shit that only he understands - and I botched every shot. When I use outside photographers, I chose people who'd enjoy being at the interview or show, rather than just a click who'd treat it as just an assignment. I'm a struggling writer, so I like to help other journalists who are just starting out as well. The quality improves with each interview. In the lyrics section of each story, you'll find more information and the actual text of each article as it ran in various publications.

These are my bands and musical projects. They have nothing to do with my writing work, but fuck it. Go listen anyway. Shameless self promotion is the key to the kingdom of God. When I die, I'm bringing a lawyer and a publicist.

This is audio of an arguement I had with a crowd of protestors outside of the Filmore before the show. The believed that the Bloodhound Gang was racist, primarily against Asians, due to the lyrics of the song "Yellow Fever."
