I wrote this song in the winter of '95, during one of many failed attempts to turn the Leslie Can't Love project into a band. Later rejected by manray for being "too wussy," a band which later turned a little shoegazer itself. Recorded after 5 years of gestation. Evan did a great job of drumming in one take never having heard the song before. Nathan Bett added a second drum track at the end before Dill and Jestin go Noise Crazy. The lyrics you can't understand in the middle are in Spanish lifted from Garcia Lorca's Bodas De Sangre. |

What was originally supposed to sound like Calexico-inspired desert music turned into Weather Channel jazz, so we made the most of it towards the end. The trusty rapmaster toy keyboard helped and this song has James Harju (of Tin Wall and Neely O'Hara clarinet fame) guest co-vocaling. Sometimes I feel like I am living in a rug |

A medley of the last manray19 riff and a song I wrote in my head while driving from Houghton to Marquette. I couldn't listen to any music from West Ishpeming to my apartment for fear of forgetting it. Jen from Flashing Red Airplane and West Of Wakefield sings on it and all of manray plays on it. |
