Linda Mattos - Soprano

|
Linda Mattos, soprano, is a native of Mt. Shasta, CA. She is in her debut season as a Regular with the Seattle Opera Chorus and recently made her Benaroya Hall debut as soprano soloist with the Antioch Symphony Orchestra. With this same orchestra, Ms. Mattos was the soprano soloist for the recent world premiere of the Song of Luke. Ms. Mattos attended California State University – Northridge, where she was the featured soprano soloist in Stravinsky’s Les Noces. She was also the soloist at the Sing It Yourself Messiah at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco. She has been the recipient of many scholarships and awards including 1999 Grand Winner San Francisco Concerto Orchestra Competition, semi-finalist at the XXXII Francisco Vinas International Singing Contest, winner of the American Art Song Competition, and a 1999 and 2000 Metropolitan Opera Audition Regional Finalist. Ms. Mattos makes her home in Bellevue, WA with her two cats. | |
