From fast paced double bass drums to slow meandering compositions to unfamiliar experimental sounds, the crisp highs and powerful lows of this music sounds great on high-end stereo systems and can give any competition car stereo a workout! It is a quilt of percussion (and only percussion, no keyboards, guitars or any other instruments) composed and performed completely by Kjell who has 23 years of training and experience as a drummer.
This recording is unique, not only in the world of drumming because of it's different approach to composing, recording and marketing, but in listening to the other MP3 percussion sites you can hear how this is unlike any other "percussion" or other music projects. It is recommended that you listen to this CD in one sitting in order to feel the full effect of the instruments and the compositions .
The louder you play this music the better it sounds and your stereo should be prepared for a real workout. Every bit of this digital recording was played by hand on acoustic percussion through microphones. The unusual variety of bass tones goes beyond the tone-generated bass of synthesized types of music and will rattle your speakers and anything else near them in the room (great with subwoofers).
Along with the 53 min. of recorded music, the CD contains a listening guide to walk you through what you are hearing as well as background info about the artist and a photo collage. Even if this music doesn't seem to appeal to you right away, you should have this CD in your collection due to it's uniqueness and how it will affect the way that music comes to view the roll of drums in music.
This is a real step out of the mainstream and was created in a true artistic mindset (not about CD sales), so give it a listen (hopefully on more than computer speakers-MP3.com files are lower quality than CD's).
The 4 songs I have made available here are pretty straight foward compared to many of the other songs on the CD. It's a small sampling but cannot describe all of the music.
