The PRteam creates Sonic-Electro-Nerdadelic, an Audio celebration of all that is unPopular. Blending minimalist acoustic grooves with pop-culture sampling and post-rock self consciousness. Their lo-tech grooves are re-mixed by the artificial life form silicagel, to create crude fatty acid electro brake fluid. Out Now - 'Soft Core' by The PRteam on unPop Records.Available online - www.mp3.com/prteam The PRteam: The SoundThe PRteam use a variety of sound sources to create their eclectic collection of audio tracks. All tracks feature the live drumming of Peter.d.Facto, however John.e.Normal and Thomas.L.Rock spend their time switching between playing stringed instruments and keyboards. The resulting effect is a constantly varying soundscape that avoids being dominated by an excess of instrumentation. John.e.Normal also employs beat boxing, toy guns and a variety of samples to broaden the soundscape. The PRteam have been previously described as half-assed electronic funk, dodgey hip hop or elevator musak. However the description prefered by the team itself is electro-nerdadelic. |
