Thanks for visiting our page. The Forked Deer
Grass have been picking Bluegrass music since
1976. Rickey Locke, Ricky Freeman, and Phillip
Williams started this group right out of High
School. The new CD "Forked Deer Grass" was
finished in January of 2001 with the great
help of Mr. Steve Wilkerson of Plug Den Studo
in Humboldt Tenn. (731) 784-7600. The group
now consists of the current members:
Rickey Lock...........Dobro/Lead Vocals
Ricky Freeman.........Banjo/Tenor Vocals
Curtis Mann...........Guitar/Baritone Vocals
Phillip Williams......Mandolin/Tenor/Baritone
Phain Paharm..........Upright Bass
We had the great pleasure of having Bluegrass
Unlimited give us a good review of our new
CD in Sept. of 2001; also Kentucky Zine gave
the new CD a good review in Oct. of 2001.
The CD is now on the playlist for Interprogramming
on the internet. This is one of the oldest and\
most listened too internet Bluegrass stations.
We are listed on this playlist with all the
greatest Bluegrass pickers and singers in the
business. Give it a listen. It is a great honor
for us to be a part of this great station.
