A birth of Ostrozska Lhota Schola can be estimated to 1983. The Schola was established by Eliska Machova who and her guitar concentred a ten of young singers. After several years when the contemporary oldest members were about fifteen years old, the group changed its repertoire and being lead by organ player Mirek Pavelka started to experiment with multi-vocal choirs and instrumental accompaniment. By and by, KamilPavelka and Antonin Misek became in charge and enriched the classical repertoire by Spiritual Kvintet songs which, of course, could be sung outside liturgy only. First, the Schola approved itself only exceedingly on holidays during spiritual year, and later it fully joined devotional singings which is the current status.A smart listener definitly notes that songs of this CD are sorted by devotional periods. Also two songs by Lhotaen Mr. Antonin Suranek and several archive performance recordings outside the home performing place are added to this album. The sound quality of live records is, of course, worse.
