| Third Wave aka Matt Gall is now celebrating his position as Roland's official UK and European Master of the Groove... The UK competition finals were held at The End, which had just been rigged with an awesome 44K Thunder Ridge sound system. The contestants were judged by Hybrid (the Welsh massive) and John Digweed (Bedrock). Third Wave, the last contestant of the evening, took the stage and kicked off with 'Then Comes Night...'. It seemed that the other 24 contestants had just been a warm-up..! The European competition was held in Frankfurt and saw Third Wave fend off 10 other countries to take the prize of 5,000 DM. There was a panel of 6 judges, including 'Kai Tracid' (No. 1 International DJ) who swiftly signed him to his label 'Tracid Traxxx'. The party then continued with DJ sets from Kai Tracid and DJ Taucher... |
