Long, slow building walls of sound with lots of effects on the guitars. It takes a little while to build so be patient, because it's worth it. If you like old Spacemen 3 or Spiritualized you should dig this. We borrowed the tremolo idea from them but they haven't used it in a while. Will be released as a 10" single on Zeal Records fall/winter 2003 with a remixes by 'Anyapax (aka Grizzly) and Silver Screen. Cover art to be provided by the infamous Anthony Ausgang www.ausgangart.com

This song initially started as something completely different. It was more groove oriented and melodic with the strange guitar ambience that still resides in the main body if the song. We thought the guitars sounded really good but you couldn't hear them that well because they were buried in the mix. So we stripped the song down completely taking out the beat and melody, and then layered the electronic effects that you now hear on top of the composition. I don't recommend making songs this way, but perhaps we'll do it again cause we ended up with something totally unique. |

This song brings all of our influences together: the booming TR-808 kick, the shimmering guitars, weird FX and samples, and psychodelic vocals. The structure is almost random and the song teeters on the edge of falling apart. Somehow we made it work but I don't know how. Check it! |
