Since his childhood, he showed a liking for music and confirmed his exceptional talent by composing The Russian Suite which he performed on-stage as a fourteen-year old piano player. At the age of eighteen, he became the first and the youngest Czech student of Prof. Petr Eben in the musical composition class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. After a few years he returned to the concert stage as a sensitive performer focusing on masterpieces by B.Smetana, L.Janacek, A.Dvorak etc. Apart from serious composition work, he also devoted himself to musicals and jazz during the studies. He was granted several awards as a piano performer (Jury Award in the national competition Hradec Beethoven Festival, Honourable Mention in the international competition Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte etc.) His most valuable original works include The Spring Quartet (first performed in Strassborough, 1991), the unfinished Missa, American Sonata (first performed in Pilsen, 1992), Monumentum per Olivier Messiaen (first performed in London, 1994) and Roman (first performed in Prague, 2002 (International festival of concert melodrama).
In 1997, he became engaged by the State Opera Prague, where he gained practice as a pianist and repétiteur in the opera genre. He was invited to participate in the rendition of classical opera pieces featuring prominent artists of the opera world, such as B. Gregor, A. Bogza, I. Kusnjer and others. He is also often sought after as a specialist in contemporary music (J. Pfluger, E. F. Burian, A. Schoenberg, etc.). His perceptive and adroit accompaniment earned him the status of a professional musician who is called upon for collaboration with outstanding opera and concert singers.
Since 2002, he has worked as a freelance musician and composer.
