Hi, you've reached the webpage of Psychedelic Land Snail. Nobody is in right now, but if you like I can play some music at you? In the meantime, I'm sure you'd be excited to know that this is just a collection of random songlets, put together at various times when motivation flowed freely. Don't expect polished songs, more half-baked fragments into the mind of Phil, mostly one take live songs that I've done when excrutiatingly bored or stoned, one day I'll actually sequence a song and make it flawless, but for the moment I prefer them as they are. Stylistically I'm influenced by things like (but not restricted to): NIN, Orbital, Boards of Canada, Sneaky Bat Machine, Delerium (not the remixes, the original stuff!), Moby, Depeche Mode, Recoil, Mazzy Star, symphonic bits of Type O Negative, Icon of Coil, Lords of Acid, 80's synthpop, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane... and loads of other stuff that escapes my brain right now. My kit list for this little experiment is: Athlon XP1800+ PC, Yamaha CS1x, Guitar (usually drenched in reverb), Supernova II, Soundcraft F1 mixer, MD recorder, CD-RW.
