Singer/Songwriter, Eric Edmonston, has been on the Boston music scene since 1995. With a reputation among musicians and fans as one of the most versatile performers around, Eric has played a major role in some of Boston's most colorful bands, emerging as one of the city's finest musical talents. Having played bass in the hardcore/rap band, BIG WIG, drums for DARKBUSTER, the punk/ska band, guitar for indie rockers, SENOR HAPPY, and performed as one of the original members of Warner Brothers recording artists, HEIDI, Eric decided it was time to venture out on his own. In Febuary 2000, Eric closeted himself in a recording studio to record fourteen original songs. Penning all tunes and playing all instruments, Eric entitled the eclectic collection, "so this is you." Honest, emotional, somber and empowering, this compelling collection takes us inside Edmonston's very heart and soul to reveal one of music's most evocative artists.
Under the name, "linus," a name used for Eric's previous solo acoustic performances since 1996, the only thing missing was a band to accompany him "live." Hooking up with drummer, Dan Crean, former Skinflick and Lindsey Nowell member; bass player, Michael Murphy, from Roominghouse Madrigals and guitarist Mike Maloof, "linus" re-emerged complete. Since then, the band has been blowing away bi-coastal crowds with its explosive live show and "kick-ass'
new record.
