Sometimes I strain so hard against writers block I feel like I'm going to blow a gasket. One night I decided that I would not sleep until I wrote something. This song popped out of my right eye around 4a.m. |

Patty Smith came to town. She rocked. After her encore, (Gloria!) she dropped her pick and left the stage. I work for the promoter that brought her to town so I have friends on the local crew. One of the guys always pockets the picks left on stage and gives them to me because I'm a musician and have no money. He gave me Pattys pick and I took it home and used it to write this song. |
