    		From Spanish flamenco and folkloric sounds of Venezuela to the snake-charming mysticism of Saudi Arabia, each distinct influence can be heard on World Of Absence (TFM Records), and Many Moons, Hisham's much anticipated third album due out 2001. The son of a Saudi diplomat father and a Syrian mother, Hisham was born in Spain and subsequently lived in Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Denmark, England and Washington D.C., where he currently resides. In his travels, Hisham quickly assimilated elements of these drastically different cultures, and the resulting music paints a global picture-- a new age blend of Western pop, jazz-fusion, world, folk and classical. Completely self-taught, Hisham still cannot read notes but composes instead "from the heart until it feels right." He was the singer/songwriter for a progressive jazz-fusion band in the D.C. areas called In Progress only to find he preferred the instrumental passages between the lyrics. "I feel that an instrumental passage is more open to ones' own interpretation and not to that of the Artist."
