wiTch is a piece i recorded late during the night of 7 april 2000 into early morning on the 8th. the piece is compiled from many audio tracks, one being recorded then thoughts giving birth to the others. the main audio elements were already created when i decided to add text to the music. my poem wiTch (1999) is the first thing that came to mind. i recorded the vocal track independently from the music, then layered it all together.

hiroshima montage was created during the afternoon of 12 december '00. being concerned with the United States's bombing of Japan during World War II, i wanted to create a piece that somehow commented on this useless act of destruction that scars our history. the piece, with exception to the background sound found throughout, was created entirely of existing sound effects ("found sounds" if you will). most notable are the audio portions of President Truman discussing dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. other sounds such as explosions, crashes, and sirens are used.
