Some reviews for Sidewinder:Ministry Magazine (U.K.)Thomas Penton - Sidewinder (Inversus)US label continues its quest for western domination. First we get a slab of the finest pumping progressive then euphoric breakdowns, building baselines and sweeping strings. The remix is provided by the hot Excession who take it deeper yet retain the uplifting feel. Watch out, the Yanks are about. SPTribe Magazine (Canada)Thomas Penton - Sidewinder (Inversus) Hot off "Earthbound", Inversus keeps up its momentum with the excellent "Sidewinder". Some of you will know the name Thomas Penton by now through his work on Eve, Pure Music, Fade, Inductive, & XSF Records. With "Sidewinder", Penton has created a monster with a devastating, spine tingling, echoing chord which rumbles in the background. A the track progressively builds, it gains more and more energy before ultimately crashing into a smoothing, minimal & melodic break. Definitely one for those peak time moments.....Already deep in the boxes of Lee Burridge, Seaman, Warren, Pappa & Cass....just to name a few. This one is a must. Keep an eye out for this label cause this is only the beginning. Big! 9/10Available on Inversus Records in Jan.2001. |
