| The Bible talks about many mysteries, but this song is about the mystery revealed as talked about in Col 2: 2,3. This basically says the Jesus and the Gospel message is the mystery once kept secret by God but now revealed. This was a fun song to record because of all the percussion involved, which is all digital. I used 2 guitar tracks, several drum and percussion tracks, a bass guitar, piano, lead guitar, and one vocal track. This was the first song I experimented with using computerized recording of music. I tried to get a Santana sound to this song and added an electric guitar lead thoughout. I thought this song would be a good title for the CD. So, welcome to ... the Mystery. |

| I still remember when I first came across Luke 21:28 and realized that on the last day, Christians are not to be face down in fright, but to stand and lift our heads up. This will be a great day, because Christians will be counted and saved. It will be an awesome sight, as Matt 24:27 describes, like lightning flashing from the east to the west. I used my Martin D-15 for rhythm, an old Lyon bass guitar, an Ibanez electric guitar for the lead and an additional 12 string effect. The drum and organ tracks are digital using a Roland D-10 synthesizer. I used Cakewalk Pro-Audio 8 software, along with an AKG vocal mic through a small Behringer mixer. This was fun! |
