| If Stranger Sebastian are too often put in the darkwave gothic category, this nicely packaged new song once again confirms they are far away from all these stereotypical goth bands! This new single "Wings of Love" features a group which has once again matured its sound somewhat while bringing some memories of the previous songs. Sombre emotional vocals, bubbling synths, passionate melancholic tunes, captivating ghostly ambiences, mystical sinister strings and drum crescendos. Definitely an amazingly good variety of sounds and atmospheres to please most tastes. Stranger Sebastian have really done a masterful job on this new single which could become a blueprint in the future. Vague, misty photographs which give the songs more atmosphere and content, and of an intensity you don't see very often. Thankfully they did not choose for an artificial, fake image. |
