The Gentle Touch
Inside every individual there is a subtle system of channels and energy centers or Chakras, which look after our physical, emotional and spiritual being. When our Kundalini energy is awakened through meditation it starts flowing through the channels from the base of the spine to the top of the head, activating the whole system. Thus through regular meditation, our qualities automatically manifest and we become dynamic, creative and compassionate people.
These vocal Mantras are a powerful and gentle aid to meditation, and are based on the seven core musical frequencies derived from the ancient sounds of nature. These notes correspond directly to the innate frequency or vibration of our own Chakras, and so by listening to them we help balance and heal our subtle system.
To benefit fully from these Mantras we sit quietly with hands resting open, palm upwards on our lap and eyes closed. As we listen to the Mantras we focus our attention peacefully at the top of our head, ignoring the distraction of thoughts that may come into our mind. As the Mantras progress we may feel the onset of a very subtle cool breeze on our hands or around the head, which is simply an indication of the rise of the Kundalini and the flowering of the subtle system to its fully potent state.
At the end of the meditation session we can sit quietly for a few moments before continuing with our day to day lives. Regular use of this Mantra meditation each day will result in a deepening of the experience in every way.

The Mooladhara represents the beginning of time, the evolution of all things from a single cell like the amoeba to complex mankind. This Chakra is at the root of the whole subtle system, and so acts as the support of all the Chakras. In Sanskrit ‘moola’ means root and ‘adhara’ means the support. | MP3.com CD: Sahaja Awakening - buy it!

Detachment and a sense of perspective are important features of the Vishuddhi Chakra. The ability to determine what is really important in our lives, and realise that problems are usually simply a creation of our own conditionings and fears. As a result we become stronger and more able to handle things which at first glance appear to be traumatic but in fact are nothing more than events we must pass through on our way through life. | MP3.com CD: Sahaja Awakening - buy it!

Vibratory awareness begins at this point. As the Kundalini unites our individual consciousness to the universal consciousness (the Atma to the Paramatma), we are suddenly tuned in to the universal wavelength of vibrations. These vibrations pervade the cosmos, but before Realisation, while we are still in the egg form, we know nothing of them. When the Kundalini breaks the shell of the egg, we emerge into God’s Kingdom, the Collective Unconscious. At this point we are singing the song of the unconscious and the vibrations start playing through the instrument that we have become. | MP3.com CD: Sahaja Awakening - buy it!
