Welcome to the REAL new millennium.........
WHAT? : X will explore uncharted territory. X is a bold new step for Dark Duck Records.
THEME: Fat, glitchy, crunchy
textures, drone, minimal ambiences, dub, down-tempo d'n'b, and
much more.
WHO?: X is not 1 artist and X is not a various artists compilation. X is a new monthly series from Dark Duck
Records featuring an amorphous blob of sound sourced and blended
from some of the best (ok, the strangest) independent musicians
working today. Each month will feature a variety of different
artists possibly including, but not limited to, Stephen
Philips, Tom Purdue, Ben Summers, Alex Cornhill, Geoff Varosky,
Michael Bentley, Dino Pacifici, Will Green, and a few
others that wish to remain anonymous. They're people you like
but don't ask us to reveal who they are because we are sworn to
secrecy.
WHY?: Why not?
MP3 samples right here, bookmark
this site and check back often. We will be putting up samples
from the CDs and some exclusive unreleased X tracks all year. Remember to download the previously
unreleased tracks as soon as possible because they will only be
up for 2 months and then they are deleted without notice.
