WELCOME - if you are here, you are either: one of the curious, or a Lighthouse Keepers Completist!
In the past, recordings such as these probably would have been allowed to gently erode and fade away over the years (perhaps some would say that's for the best)... .
HOWEVER....now, thanks to MP3, you can now archive for posterity your home demos for ever!
These are my demos - the original recordings have been cleaned up using Cool Edit Pro, and on the whole, different ideas & takes for the same piece have been pasted together under the same title.
Apart from that, this is pretty much what was on the original tapes - ranging from ideas hummed into a mic (often in the middle of the night), to pieces built up using crude overdubbing on a (what is now very old) double tape recorder, the Sharp 555 (it still works after all these years - they don't make them like that anymore!).
Sadly, the majority of ideas here have never gone beyond this stage, although those familiar with my other Lighthouse Keepers Recordings may recognize the odd tune or two! and hey! who knows - this exercise might just give me the push I need to develop them into shiny new works!
