Planet Farm is as much an attitude and approach to music as it is a band. The approach is simple: make music that provides the listener with a diverse aural landscape that is unique enough to be interesting, yet is just accessible enough to crank up on the boom box, bust out the cheap light beer, and roast some weenies with the fellas! Planet Farm's singable melodies and tight rhythms grind together to spawn a wailing little tyke with folk, electronic, jazz, and rock genes. Imagine for a moment that Frankenstein were well cared for emotionally and underwent thousands of dollars worth of reconstructive surgery... um... forget that...

Planet Farm's sound starts with songwriting. Themes of identity formation in and information saturated society, house pets, unemployment, and Zen Buddhism swirl together in strong melodic compositions that are supported by a jazz/funk rhythm section. The other aspect of the Planet Farm sound is experimentation- not that wacky new age stuff your parents put on at Christmas, but a synthesis of acoustic and electronic sounds that combine to form an elevator that takes you just south of your consciousness (how's that for entertainment!
