dadaNetCircus
is a multimedia theatre group producing plays for the stage and the Web.
Ours is a theater that dramatizes the Information Age through a reinterpretation
of the classics.
On stage, we combine pixel
pupppets (projections of digital imagery) with live actors, dancers, sculpture,
and music. On the web, we experiment with narrative forms and digital media.
It all started with something called Click
Me.
We're opening our dadaNetCircus
Orchestra site on mp3.com with selections from two recent performances.
Jonah and the WWWhale
is a journey into the belly of the beast -- a virtual Leviathan of global proportions!
Metropolis is a soundtrack
and pixel scrub for the 1929 silent sci-fi film by German director Fritz
Lang.
Our current project is called
The dadaSea. It's based on Homer's Odyssey, the story of a man
wandering around in an ocean. We're planning to perform this play in 24
monthly installments -- an epic that's two years in the telling!
