FORMER HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD Born Ira Kieslovicz to an Orthodox Jewish family, Maul F. Calloway was an aspiring cantor with a golden voice. His cantorial ambitons were shattered however when, over a dispute over Talmudic interpretation, the young Kieslowicz punched out the head Rabbi in a fit of rage.
Cast out from the community for life, Kieslowicz found a channel for his unholy rage, and emerged in the New York boxing underground as Paul 'Maul' Calloway.
Famed for his infamous 'Claw Pinch' technique, Calloway quickly rose to the top of the boxing world until he had all his teeth knocked out by the Soviet champion Yuri 'the Tosser' Tollufsson.
Athough he won the match Maul was never the same. He abandoned boxing and disappeared from sight, only to re-emerge as a master bluesman of first calibre. He is the arch enemy of JOHNNY HAGGIS, the legendary leader of the seminal 70's scottish-jewish homeless communist punk band BLACK HAGGIS. They frequently make confrontatonal appearances at RUTHLESS COSMOPOLITANS jazz shows.Maul Now makes his home wiin Hackensack New Jersey, with his equally toothless wife Lupi. "Shut Up!!
