Updated 5/7/03 =I'm still alive! I know it's been awhile since I've last updated, but I'm still here, it's just I have little time on my hands, and it's not like anyone reads these updates anyways! =I know I haven't released anything in a really long time, but summer break starts May 22, and then I'll have more time to focus on my music. Here are a few of the songs you can expect to be hearing in the near future: "Snwrvx" (tentative title) is a very experimental track, half of it sounds very robotic and half of it sounds very lively and melodic. There's also "Dirk" which is probably the best track I've made to date, with a quite interesting melody carrying the song and a sort of adventurous feel to it. A remix of Hook the Captain's "Temple" which I have worked on a bunch but I'm thinking of scrapping it and starting from scratch again. This will probably be the first new track that will be released. There will also be "Oslo" (tentative title) which is a slow, melodic sort of electronic-classical composition that I think is really nice. There will of course be others including these, and I'm not sure if you're going to be able to hear all of them directly from the website, with MP3.com's 3-song rule and all. =Over the summer I'm making some major changes to my website. First, since I've started using flash you can expect a crappy... I mean, good music video for the upcoming track "Dirk" and also I'm thinking of setting up a site separate from MP3.com so I can showcase more of my songs in a more customized environment, and also put up some of the stuff I'm making in Flash on it. =After I get the afformentioned tracks finished, plus some others, I'm going to be releasing my new album, tentatively titled "Getting Lost in High Places." This will include the new tracks "Dirk," "Snwrvx," "Oslo," plus "Saturns," "Awoken," "Ocean In the Sky," and a bunch of other tracks that I've only barely started or haven't even started yet. So, it might be awhile before you see it. =Okay, some word on some old projects I've sort of dropped... I've mentioned the Hook remix already above; General Smiley, if you're reading this, I'm sorry I haven't exactly been keeping in touch, but I still plan to do a compilation with you over the summer if you're still interested... for you readers, General Smiley is a talented reggae artist, and I thought it would be cool to combine our two genres and see what we could cook up; Also, I'm planning to do a compilation work with Hook the Captain. =Well, that's all for music news. Now for other crap. =One of the things that's been keeping me busy lately is a Flash project I'm doing for school, it's a game where Al Roker is trapped inside a haunted house and you have to escape. When I make my new website I'll post it up for all of you to play! =No one reads these updates. But that won't stop me from writing them! =The new Radiohead album "Hail to the Thief" is the sheezy. I highly suggest that once it's released, you do yourselves a favor and go get a copy of this great work. I'm pretty sure the American release date is May 10. =Family Guy rules! They're showing repeats on Adult Swim at 10:30 central time Sundays-Thursdays, and they released Seasons 1-2 on dvd, which I of course almost immediately purchased. If you haven't seen this show, tune your TVs to Adult Swim (Cartoon Network at night) at 11:30/10:30 central. It's marvelously hilarious. =Well, that's all for now, I guess. Check back here in like a month or so for another update.
