i have tried, with mfd, to manipulate traditions and structures in music in some new ways. beginning with industrial music, mfd has covered a lot of ground, and i don't have any idea where exactly mfd stands now; i hope it is somewhere new that can be a joy and an inspiration to you, whoever you are.
if you enjoy these works, please don't be afraid to email me. thanks for listening.

"joy one" is the piece of music here that i'm happiest with. it was finished in november 2001, and is built of over two hours of recordings; there are sections in many different keys and meters; there are references to 12-tone composition, phase composition, psychoacoustic music...i can't begin to recall the many ways these sounds were manipulated, freely, joyfully; this is something i really love. i hope you do too. |

another old song, completely redone; juvenile, nostalgic, full of nasty recollections and gnomic vulgarities; like 'joy one,' something which i wrote with a very free hand; again, here is what i mean by 'composition.' i like this a great deal. |

a folk song under duress--shifting time signatures & keys, etc.; the usual palette of manipulated traditions... |
