All the new Dave Lindley releases are on Get Me Music! Soon to be released on GetMeMusics Virtual Label, Dave Lindley's new album "Falling Backwards" The album "Falling Backwards", available on this link from June 2003!!!It's been quite a journey through several musical phases that has arrived at a sound like no other. So what is it? Metal? Rock? Funk? Or just something in between? Dave Lindley's music has all these elements and more. Dave started playing the guitar back in 1987. It wasn't too long till he was in his first band, Dave recalls thinking the band was absolutely amazing at the time! In the autumn of 1989 Dave moved to Sheffield and formed Worm, which mutated into AOD. In January 1990 the group recorded a demo at a studio in Sheffield, that he now says is fairly lightweight and lacking overall cohesion. In 1993, having moved back to Teesside, Dave changed direction slightly and wrote a series of sequenced compositions using samples. By 1994, however, Dave had gone back to more familiar ground and began writing a series of indie / grungy / poppy songs, later played with Caffeine and with Shimmer (Confusion). So by 1995 Dave helped form Caffiene. The group never made it past the rehearsal room, despite the quality of the musicians involved (or perhaps because of the quality of the musicians involved!). From this Dave went to Shimmer, which mutated (through many line up changes) into Confusion. Confusion finally called it a day in August 1999. Barring the work done with Dave Brown, Dave has been writing and recording on his own. The new album, "Falling Backwards" will be available from June 2003 on GetMeMusic.
