Since The Gita's formation during the Florida winter of 1998, they have released four self-produced albums, played approximately 160 shows a year, and have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Men at Work, Starship, Melissa Ferrick, The Red Elvises, Big Sky, The Semis and many other amazing musicians. Their latest project is a remix album featuring 8 DJ's from around the world. The band recently formed the Florida label, Mekka Records, and is a member of the Southeast Music Alliance.
