Olga Zimovets is russian. She was born in the town of Ivanovo, near Moscou. She studied
at the Conservatoire Rimski-Korsakov in St Petersbourg until 1971, where she was awarded
the Diplome for stage Direction and the first prize for singing.
She worked as actress, director and solist with "Lenconcert" and for the faculty of musik at
the Conservatoire Rimski-Korsakov, as well as singing opera in the Great Hall of the same
instutition.
From 1985 Olga lives in France.
Appearing regularly in different concerts of coral music she specialises in Russian repertoire
and gave a recital of Glinka and Tschaikovsky songs with the Ensemble Stanislas in the
"Four Seasons of Saulnois" festival.
She sings and records french songs for the Saint-Petersbourg radio. the Moscou radio
and radio stations in other towns, for example in 1996 in Minsk (Belorussie) a radio and
television program of Faur? and Poulenc songs.
In 1997 - at the Saint Petersbourg radio, songs of Charles Bordes on poems by Paul
Verlaine.
Olga Zimovets performs regularly with the "Choeur des Cordeliers" of Nancy.
