A 6/8 tune with a lilting melody first stated by the clarinet. The tenor sax enters with a countermelody on the second A section. The bridge is a modal thing based on quartial ideas ala McCoy Tyner. Check out the "preacher" and the "prostitute" evident in the solos. Builds after the recap into a climax pedal outro. |
