Welcome! Thanks for visiting and listening! SPECIAL NOTE -- As of April 1st, 2001 Only a few select songs will be available for "download" option. You may visit my premier site at "Soulspace Music" to download many of these (if available) or purchase the CD's available here on this site. Mp3.com is changing its practice of reimbursing artists for downloads unless they are a Premier Artist and pay a monthly fee for each individual website...... This will prove unecomical and unreasonable for many artists here on Mp3.com. You can help support the artists here on Mp3.com in one of three ways - 1. Voice your opinion on this directly to Mp3.com! 2. Buy CD's from the artists instead of downloading. 3. "Back the bands" you like, with cash support. Thank you. - D.F.

Piano / flute / Strings = Something about this piece I really like, sort of "Spielbergish." I wanted to create a pastoral scene, a spring morning camping in the Allegheny National Park... | MP3.com CD: Earth Sounds - buy it!

This is a complete reworking of a piece that I wrote around '89-'90. Keeping the basic structure of the music intact, I slowed it down a bit, relaxed it and enhanced the overall depth and quality of the instrumentation. The original was done on an Roland MC-500/RD-250 and MT-32 sound module, with Piano/Flute and bells. This newer version was done on a Korg Triton Workstation. The Piano part was replaced with a combo harp/string pad, flute, violin and bells for solo parts and I added a string section to sweeten it up.. It is such a beautiful, sweet melody either way. Let me know what you think... - Dave. | MP3.com CD: Earth Sounds - buy it!

Ambient/Melodic/Electronica - as with many of these types of pieces, this one started as an experiment. I get a basic melodic, rhythmic and structural idea then expand upon that either by sitting down at my piano and working out a chart for it (E.g. "The Olympic Spirit" or "Cyclopses...")-- or just cutting loose on the Korg and improvising around the basic structure. This piece is the latter. Some interesting things always happen that you don't count on, but that is the fun of it all! |
