This is one of the first original pieces Polly wrote, during the summer of 1995. It is inspired by the ancient settlement of Skara Brae on the Orkney Islands, which was buried four thousand years ago in a violent storm, and subsequently uncovered in anot her storm during the nineteenth century. It features Scots Gaelic lyrics from the Carmina Gaedelica. From Polly's Album "Taste the Wall". |
