Proximity sees Otis in their best form to date. A diversion in style from their earlier material, Proximity is a trip from beginning to end. Lyrically designed to put hairs on the back of your neck, it features a haunting rhodes riff, meandering guitar and a totally distinctive vocal. Also sample driven, this is more in the style of Morcheba than any thing the band has previously done. "Ever felt that shiver like you've been touched?" Proximity has a very complex sound and does not seem to easily fall into any specific genre or story. Proximity is available from the Otis album of the same name due out in Feb 2002. |

It's a simple theme, driven by Acoustic bass Back on my Feet really swings along. The song moves to the chorus at a slick pace and doesn't let you down when it arrives. Supplemented with some soulful guitar on the playout and solid riffs in every direction, Back on my Feet is a laid back comment about getting your own back on the world. |
