Welcome to a center for Exploratory Music.
Call it experimental if you like; that is not
what I prefer to call it, but I will accept
the label.
The key to enjoyment is being able to take
this stuff seriously on some levels, and not
too seriously on others. Don't believe everything
you read. Trust your ears and your heart.
Fibonacci Reign is an open collaboration
that so far includes only one person. But if
you think you have a similar musical philosophy
and spirit, and would like to explore with me,
contact me so we can discuss the particulars.
Most of the music posted here was composed
using a shareware program that enables algorithmic
music composition.
Since establishing my presence here on mp3.com,
in order to more effectively determine my own
destiny as a creator of original music, I have
undertaken the development of my own software
for computer-aided composition, and that project
is now taking up most of my free time. In fact, I
have temporarily ceased writing music, in order to
work on the software that will ultimately help me
to write more and better music.
I do occasionally make the time to record
older pieces, and I intend to add those recordings
to this site from time to time, during this
compositional hiatus.

Don't be put off by the title. This piece is actually rather good. The current title (feel free to suggest a new one) is based on the fact that the piece cycles through various overlayings of a 41-beat pattern with a 58-beat pattern. I created this piece during a period when I was quite enthralled with using this technique, which in fact shows up in most of my pieces. Apparently, I made this around mid-July. |

Astronomy and science fiction fans are bound to like this one. I think it is a soundtrack for something, maybe a 1960s "lost classic" sci-fi movie. |

This gets to be "World Fusion" because of the bagpipe/fiddle unison duet at the end, which makes it sound "Celtic" (sort of). A trifle repetitous, but it was fun to produce and I hope you'll find it fun to listen to. Soundtrack for what the title suggests, of course. |
