The Stew (our affectionate nickname for this operation) was Terry, Scott, Mel and Shannon when we began; a four piece without a drummer. We used bass, guitar, percussions and harp/frottoir for the first several months. We thought it was cool to play that way and we even won a band contest against a couple of good "normal" acts. But, it was hard, as every little time slippage seemed like a big greasey belch to us onstage. We also realized we needed a drumer to play a lot more places and to really rock. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to work with two New Orleans guys, Aaron Lambert and Tom Larsen; and they both contributed to the development of that "Stew" sound. Later, we worked with another guitarist, Brian Fechino, with an appreciation for the thing we had going. We regularly worked with several other friends in a rotating "Stew" of players. These, we call the "Auxiliary Stew"
Friends around the country have enjoyed these records, so we feel it must be released to the world wide web audience at MP3.com .
