What’s Ordinary K got that other bands don’t? Patience to be soulful; grit to be funky; the power to make you jump, laugh, dance, or just watch in awe. Is it hip-hop? Some old 70’s shit? Is it James Brown, Stevie, and the Beastie Boys all rolled into one? Nope, it’s Ordinary K. Five ordinary cats on an extraordinary mission, breaking the boundaries of contemporary music, melting styles, and fusing genres.
The response to OK’s first release, “Side by Each,” has been overwhelmingly positive, including a track on Warren Miller’s latest film, “The Storm,” and tour dates with such acts as Blackalicious, Karl Denson, Galactic, Soulive, and DJ Logic. Known for their special guests, free flow jams, and ever-positive energy, OK presents one of the best live shows today.
Having recently joined the Budweiser True Music Live Program, and with national tours lining up in support of their second national release (due in the Fall of 2003), OK will undoubtedly be blowing up a stage near you.
