| This is a "tembang dolanan" i.e kid's/playground song. I was fortunate to sing this song when i grew up in interior of Java island. however, I have no idea what cublak-cublak suweng really means, but it is said in the song "Sopo ngguyu ndelikake..." means "Those who laugh, hide it!"
Listen! those kids giggled hearing counterpoints with low notes plays the actual melody on the middle segment. | |

| Pakarena dance is one of the most popular dance from Southern of Celebes.
I stayed for 3 months with a Bugis/Makassarese family host when i was in the High School.
we sang together several of bugis folk songs. This is one of those.
I couldn't find this folksong's lyrics on internet. So if u think I still incorrectly sing this lovely song, please let me know. | |

| During Thanksgiving holiday 2002, there is one thing revealed to me, one of this event's aspect is about where it all was started.
So i grabbed my roommate's cheapo nylon guitar and just recorded this very popular batak folk song in very vintage mood. Pulau Samosir means Samosir Island, place where mostly batak families root.
