UNDERLORD's latest onslaught of underworld blackened death metal is "Rise of the Ancient Kings", which picks up where Triumphant Battles left off -- two steps backward from Morbid Tales with a healthy dose of Welcome To Hell thrown in for good measure. As always, Hellfiend and crew disembowel the festering corpse of Black Metal and send the Viking hordes scurrying back home under an avalanche of sludge-bedevilled riffery and true head-banging primitivism.
Let the unbeliever be forewarned: "Rise of the Ancient Kings" may well signal the final death-knell in the battle for Heavy Metal supremacy. Let all others cease their pathetic toils, for the Underlord shall now reign supreme.
