Dillinger plays music on set of 52 Wineglasses & Brandy Snifters. Musical glasses is an art form which dates back as early as 2500 BC. Many famous classical composers including Mozart and Haydn have written pieces for glass instruments. However, glass instruments were outlawed entirely in the 17th century as glass players began to go "Mad as a Hatter" supposedly from the eerie music. We know today, in actuality it was from the high quantities of lead added to crystal at the time. Modern glass is held together by it's impurities from constant recycling and is no longer deadly poisonous to the musician.
Today there is a renaissance of sorts as a handful of talented musicians keep this rare art form alive. Not to be confused with the Glass Armonica invented by Benjamin Franklin (That's right, the banjo is not the ONLY native American instrument). Very few artists are considered to be masters of The Musical Glasses.
Dillinger has performed for over 200 million people including television performances, film and video soundtracks, besides being a full time professional street performer. He has appeared at both the highly prestigious Bohemian Club and Bohemian Grove and has performed as a soloist at Davies Symphony Hall for The San Francisco Symphony Chorus
