On July 16th, 1945, the Trinity site in New Mexico spread its
light for a hundred miles with the first atomic explosion. Robert
Oppenheimer (the head scientist on the project), upon seeing the explosion quoted the Bhagavad Gita
saying "Now I have become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Atomic Child's "WasteLand" is nothing more than a
statement that we are children born into the new world, the world after the
beast was released from his long sleep. This is where we live, we are
Atomic Children.

Slipping through the virtual world looking for the key to all doors... This song was inspired by "Mentor," and dedicated to the words he spoke. ". . .You may stop this individual, but you can't stop us all... after all, we're all alike." Mentor. |
