| Although the subject matter is probably really sad I don’t view it that way. Firstly I had done this years b4, singing. I also wanted to bring back to life my sisters voice. I’ve had that tape for years, that tape. The lyrics mostly are about him, but I couldn’t talk to my sister either which was pretty sad. The number you have dialled is unrecognised, yeah, that’s it. I thought taking your life was such a waste. It’s good that I can hear her voice, shame I never knew the rest of her. She thought I was seriously ill when I did this, hahahahahahah, it was a hard thing to explain.Her, “ You’re recording your dead sisters voice in a song ?”Me “um Yeah, but it’s cool I ‘m not thinking about her or anything.”Her “Yeah right.”Such a waste. | In the (late) Summer I spent a weekend on 6 cylinders with my best friend. We rode (a really long way) home and I wrote lyrics at 80 mph. Take the needle of the clock and drag me of this fucking rock. Before the end of a century I was determined to use those words but I didn’t really have any music. Although amazingly on the bike with my eyes closed and my feet numb I had thought of chords, A B D C, original eh? As it turns out the Matrix provided a drum loop with chords of um G A Bflat? C and a nice piano thingy. Wooohooo. |
