This is a song about spousal/child abuse. It becomes almost accepted for the abused as a way of life. Originally I envisioned this to be an Indigo Girls/Sheryl Crow/Bonnie Rait type song. I wrote this song from the point of view of two individuals - the woman who was abused and her mother. |
