Communist is code for "subversive" and "dangerous" in America. Or it at least used to be. Once upon a time, such papers as the New York times printed headlines about "the international Communist conspiracy" and it's takeover of the world. There was hype and America believed what they heard: they feared and hated the "communists". The modern translation of this word- connotations and all- would be "terrorist". This is the new word that makes Americans cower in fear and bloodthirsty when war time comes. Communist Conspiracy Rhythms is a collective of people (conspirators?) making art that in other times could be considered "communist" (translation: against widely accepted and "normal" ideas, etc.) and in modern days would (among some) garner the description of "terrorist". These terms are nothing but semantics, and labels ("punk" "hardcore" "emo") are nothing but points to sell a product. Call us what you will; our name is Communist Conspiracy Rhythms. What is your name? (please send a detailed reply to communistconspiracyrhythms@hotmail.com) These are all words, and clever talk is useless unless it leads to action.Yours Truly,
    CCR

News: Communist Conspiracy Rhythms (CCR) RIP 2002 Summer 2000 - Summer 2001 CCR was Giff : Bass Tony: Guitar Rob: Drums Summer 2001 - Summer 2002 CCR was Giff : Bass Tony: Guitar Jake: Drums Yes this is the official death certificate, which should have been issued in August but has been postponed until now due to lack of motivation. We got our name from a school teacher who was making fun of punk rock and evolved from an old school hardcore band into a scremo-goth-metal-industrial-hardcore band. We pressed a CD split w/ I Belong and did two tour CDrs. Like any other decent punk band, we spent many of or nights and days making flyers for shows in friends’ basements and trying to raise money for records, creating art, music, and lyrics that tried their hardest to be honest and meaningful to us. In the summer of 2002 we went on a six week long tour, spanning the entire country. Our last show was in West Bend on August 24 2002 in a garage for friend and driver of the Black Metal Bus of (Operation Impending) Doom Amy’s birthday party. A quick thank you to AMY and PINKY for being on tour with us and IVAN for, you know, stuff. Off the top of my head, here is everyone we’d (or I’d) like to thank from tour: everyone who gave us gas money, food, shows, or a place to stay, Lindsey, Ty, Zach, Human Racist and the West Virginia folks, Choke their Rivers with Our Dead and the man whose name I forgot who booked the show in Weschester, PN, Amanda and the Moore girls, EVERYBODY INTHE STATE OF NEWJERSEY, most importantly CJ, Charlie, Pat (?is that your name why am i spacing on this?), the Nosebleeds who showed us to the comics and the Quick Stop, Old James, Stalin’s War, and the coffee shop in Pensacola, Matt Knipple (that's probably not at all how i spell that), Mike and Korin, Mykee and really nice friend whose name I cant remember (One Last Chance), EVERYONE at THE GREEN HOUSE IN AMARILLO!!!! and the members of Hopeless Dregs of Humanity, the incredibly nice man in Alberqerque who talked to us about Converge and Kungfu Rick I forgot your name but you made me laugh and smile after the worst show/day of my life, Krustal who loves the Root Beer that costs a Penny, the Phoenix kids, Brit, Stef and the CrimethInc./Anton Bordman Las Vegas show people, Katherine, Jake’s family, KJ, Becky and the Sand Francisco persons, EVERYBODY IN PORTLAND AND OREGON including Face and chased by bees, Fluffy, Mouth, Renata, and this is embarrassing how few names I remember so I’ll refer to the last Oregon thank yous as the psychobilly guy was the bouncer at the Locust show, and Giff’s uncle.... there are so many more people but I was probably the most out of it person on tour (maybe) and the most antisocial plus I’m bad with names, so apologies to those I’ve temporarily forgotten. Most importantly, thanks to everyone who made the last two years amazing, the people who come to the shows and don’t stand outside until No Direction goes on (there’s enough love to be spread for the opening bands AND the No Direction rock, people!), the people hook us up with their resources, the people who told us we meant something to them, the people who spread the rumors that make us laugh, all the people that have been their and we love them for it, from the bottom of our hearts .... THANK YOU. _Tony/CCR 10/30/02 p.s. here's one last little gift to you, courtesy of CCR and Willy....
