Dark, dramatic progressive rock which ranges in mood from atmospheric to raging. This song, unlike most of our stuff, is mainly in 4/4 and it is not an extremely radical departure from the song form; consider it an example of good mainstream songwriting with a progressive arrangement.Features electronic keyboard and vocal fx- LOTS of keyboard tone-morphing (I love that sort of stuff!)Ends with wild-ass keyboard solo- wild but VERY orchestrated at the same time! Dark, evil Bowie-meets-rammstein vocals- the lyric quotes (of all people) Bette Midler. |

Twisted music! This does not sound like any band I know of- very unique (but almost sort of like Zappa)!Lunatic, pitch shifted vocal rants over wild groves in 7/4, 6/4, 5/4, and even 4/4 (once). Features pan-triadic harmonic construction, lots of sound fx, and some blazing leads: drum solo in the beginning under the vocals, synth leads on the choruses(hard to hear these in lo-fi...try downloading!), and a long wild jam with guitar, sax, and very, very strange fx. |

Lively, melodic, trippy progressive rock. The lyric is an annonomous 12th century ballad. The musical setting starts by mimicking Gregorian chant, then progresses to 14th century polyphony,a triple solo in 16th century counterpoint, baroque basso continuo, and the classical piano concerto. Then snare, pipes, and weird sounds creshendo in a thunderous drum solo and the full-blown ripping keyboard solo out. Fast paced, eerie, and always changing. |
